子犬のベラは、沢山の猫や仲間たちと空き家となった建物で気ままな日々を送っていた。そんなある日、心優しい青年ルーカスに出会い一緒に暮らし始める。ルーカスと共に成長したベラだったが、あることから、600キロ離れた遠い町へと離ればなれにされてしまう。ルーカスに会いたい一心のベラは、ロッキー山脈を越え彼がいるデンバーを目指すが…。
