パリで爆破テロ事件が発生し、容疑者を追うCIAのテロ対策班は、市街地でスリを働いているアメリカ人青年のマイケルを逮捕する。彼の無実は証明されるが、さらなる大規模テロの可能性が発覚。CIA捜査官のショーンは、マイケルのスリの腕を高く評価し彼を捜査に引き入れることに。CIA捜査官と天才スリ師がバディを組んでパリを疾走する…。
