宇宙のはみ出し者チーム“ガーディアンズ・オブ・ギャラクシー”。高慢な指導者アイーシャが率いる黄金の惑星で、小遣い稼ぎに仕事を引き受けた彼らだが、ひょんなことからアイーシャを怒らせてしまい、艦隊から総攻撃を受け宇宙船ミラノ号は壊滅寸前になってしまう。そんな彼らの危機を救ったのは、ピーターの父親だという謎の男エゴだった…。
