前回ゲームをクリアしたのが二年前。当時高校生だった4人も今は大学生。しかし、あの時の興奮が忘れられないスペンサーは、壊れていたジュマンジを修理しはじめ、またしてもゲームのなかに吸い込まれる。スペンサーがゲームに入り込んだと判断したベサニー、フリッジ、マーサの3人は、彼を救出するため再びジュマンジにログインする…。

バラエティ・ドット・コムによると、週末の北米映画興行収入ランキングは、ソニー・ピクチャーズエンタテインメントのアドベンチャー映画の続編「ジュマンジ／ネクスト・レベル」が初登場で６０１０万ドル（約６５億７０００万円）を稼ぎ、首位となった。
