マーシャル (原題)

1940年代の米コネティカット州。名士の妻エレノアに性的暴行を加えた黒人運転手が訴えられ、弁護士のサーグッド・マーシャルがその裁判に挑む。マーシャルは判事から人種的な差別を受けて口封じにあうものの、ユダヤ系法律家フリードマンと手を組んで、黒人への偏見を取り払っていく…。黒人のマーシャルが最高裁判所判事になるまでの道のり。
