子どもの頃、ポケモンに関する事件の捜査へ向かった父親が帰らなくなったことをきっかけに、ポケモンを遠ざけるようになってしまった青年ティム。ある日、父親ハリーと同僚だったというヨシダ警部補から、ハリーが事故で亡くなったとの知らせが入る。父の荷物を整理するためライムシティへ向かったティムは、人間の言葉を話すピカチュウと出会うが…。
