ハーバード大出身の心理学者でウソ発見器の発明家であるマーストン博士は、1941年に“ワンダーウーマン”を発表した。ワンダーウーマンのモデルとなったのは、マーストンの妻で心理学者のエリザベスと、マーストンの教え子で夫妻と愛人関係にあったオリーブだった…。同じ屋根の下で2人の女性と三人婚の生活を送っていた博士の半生が綴られる。
