絶滅危惧種である珍しいインコのブルーとジュエルの出会いに始まり、密猟者に誘拐された彼らの冒険が描かれた前作「ブルー　初めての空へ」から3年。3羽の子どもたちと幸せに暮すブルーとジュエルは、アマゾンにいる自分たちの親戚に会うため住み慣れたリオデジャネイロを離れる。途中、復讐を企む悪者をかわしながらジャングルを旅する…。
