MIT卒でFBIに勤めるサイバーセキュリティの専門家JJは、親友が不審な死を遂げてしまったことから、暫らく疎遠になっている父親で私立探偵のジョン・シャフトに、親友の死の真相を暴くため協力を求めることに……。    1971年に公開しブラック・パワー・ムービーの代表作とされた「黒いジャガー」をリメイクした、2000年公開の「シャフト」のリブート作品。
