テスタメント・オブ・ユース (原題)

1914年、オックスフォードのサマーヴィル・カレッジに入学したヴェラ・ブリテインは、大学に通う兄の親友ローランド・レイトンと恋に落ちる。しかし第一次世界大戦がはじまり、愛するローランドは彼女の兄たちと共に徴兵され前線へ送られてしまう。じっと帰り待つことに耐えられないヴェラは、大学を辞め看護婦としてボランティアを始める…。
