靴職人と魔法のミシン

ニューヨークの下町で年老いた母親とふたりで暮らすマックス。代々続く小さな靴修理店を営みながら、ごく単調な毎日を過ごしていた。ある日電動ミシンが故障してしまい、物置にあった旧式ミシンで靴を修理したところ、直した靴を試し履きした自分が靴の持ち主に変身する。魔法のミシンをみつけたマックスは、刺激的な日々を体験することに…。
