かつて人気ロックスターだったシャイアンは、アイルランドで妻ジェーンとひっそりと暮らしていた。ある日、絶縁状態で30年も会ってない父親が危篤との報せが届く。彼は故郷ニューヨークに戻るが臨終には間に合わなかった。シャイアンはユダヤ人だった父が元ナチスの男を探していたことを知り、真相を探るためアメリカ横断の旅に出る。
