40年前、雪山のホテルで狂った父親に殺されかけたダニー。トラウマを抱え成長した彼は、いまも人を避けるように孤独に生きていた。そんな彼の周囲で児童ばかりを狙った連続殺人事件が起こりはじめ、ダニーと同じ不思議な力をもった謎の少女アブラが現れる。ダニーは彼女と共に事件を追うが…。1980年に公開された『シャイニング』の続編。
